Introducing the i4C 2019 Keynote Speaker: Julia Harding

Presented by VQA Wines of Ontario

Julia Harding will be making the keynote address at The School of Cool Session on Friday, July 19 and will be attending and enjoying all of the events of the i4C weekend.

“This is a trip I have been hoping to make for many years because, I confess, I have never been to Canada, let alone to Ontario. The conference is a wonderful opportunity to put this right and to be able to compare the cool-climate chardonnays I have tasted around the world with those of this exciting region”, said Julia Harding, Master of Wine.

Julia Harding passed the Master of Wine exams at the first attempt in 2004 and was top student in her year. By training a linguist and a book editor, she has happily combined her first life in publishing with her second life in wine. Since 2005, she has been Jancis Robinson’s ‘wing woman’ (to quote Neal Martin).

Julia writes for and ensures the high editorial standards of JancisRobinson.com, is co-editor of the Oxford Companion to Wine and co-author of Wine Grapes. She has just finished editing the maps for the forthcoming eighth edition of the World Atlas of Wine (publication October 2019).

Julia lives in London, tastes and travels as widely as she can, and keeps fit and sane thanks to bootcamp in the park, rain or shine, and yoga.
